WWE Saturday Morning Slam Results – 3/30/13

It is the final show before Wrestlemania week and Mick Foley continues to leave his mark on this show. Last week, he set up a match between The Prime Time Players and the team of Brodus Clay and Tensai. What else will we see this week?

Your announcers are Josh Mathews and ‘The Dazzler’ Daniel Bryan.

Match Number One: Darren Young and Titus O’Neil versus Brodus Clay and Tensai (with The Funkettes)

Clay and Titus start things off and Titus blows his whistle and he wants some quiet. Titus tries for a slam but it does not work and he appears to have hurt his back. Darren is tagged in and he yells at Titus for quitting on him. Clay with a slam and then he connects with a butt bump in the corner. Tensai tags in and they hit an elbow drop and side slam combination. Tensai with a cannonball into the corner.

Clay tags back in and they hit a double shoulder tackle. Clay punches Titus on the apron and then he tries to suplex Young back into the ring but Titus trips Clay and grabs Clay’s boot to see if it is tied and Young gets the three count.

Winners: Darren Young and Titus O’Neil

After the match, Mick Foley comes out and he tells Titus and Darren that every fiber of his general manager being tells him to restart the match. Mick says that when a referee makes a decision, that decision is final. While he would not feel right about restarting the match. He feels perfectly fine with scheduling a rematch . . . a rematch that will take place . . . right now.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Darren Young and Titus O’Neil versus Brodus Clay and Tensai (with The Funkettes)

The match is joined in progress and Tensai with an elbow drop to Darren. He connects with another elbow drop and then he misses a splash. Titus is tagged in and he connects with a forearm to the back. Titus tries to slam Tensai again and it works as well as the first match. Titus with a back elbow instead and he barks.

Young is tagged back in and Darren with a diving head butt but Darren hurts his head. Titus tags in and he connects with a shoulder to the midsection. Titus with a running shoulder out of the three point stance. Titus finally slams Tensai and he celebrates. Darren tags in and he misses a kick to the chest and Clay tags in.

Clay with two clotheslines followed by the Sheeeplex. Clay with a splash into the corner and then he hits a power slam but Titus breaks up the cover. Tensai with a shoulder tackle to take care of Titus. It is time to get the conference call your mama and Clay gets the three count.

Winners: Brodus Clay and Tensai

After the match, it is time on Saturday Morning Slam when we dance.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three: R Truth versus Antonio Cesaro in a Non Title Match

Truth wants to know ‘What’s up’ but Cesaro wants everyone to shut up. Cesaro with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Truth tells Cesaro to stop and then Truth dances. Cesaro blocks a hip toss but Cesaro misses a short arm clothesline. Truth with an arm drag into an arm bar. Cesaro with a knee and Irish whip but Truth floats over and hits a drop kick. Truth dances around and hits a leg drop.

Truth clotheslines Cesaro over the top rope to the floor and we go to commercial.

We are back and Truth with an arm drag into an arm bar. Cesaro drops Truth across the top rope and then he gets a near fall. Cesaro with an abdominal stretch but Truth escapes. Cesaro with a knee and head butt to the midsection. Cesaro leaps onto the stomach and he gets a near fall. Cesaro with a bear hug and Daniel Bryan freaks out because he was hoping for it earlier in the match.

Truth tries for a sunset flip but Cesaro stays on his feet. Cesaro reaches for the ropes but Truth finally gets Cesaro over and gets a near fall. Cesaro with a giant swing to Truth. Cesaro is as dizzy as Truth and he struggles to get to his feet and get to his opponent. Cesaro sees Truth but he misses a splash into the corner. Truth with clotheslines and he blocks a kick. Truth with a hip toss.

Truth with a scissors kick but Cesaro kicks out at two. Cesaro with an Irish whip and a running European uppercut for a near fall. Cesaro complains about the referee’s count and then he tries for a suplex but Truth escapes. Truth tries for an O’Connor Roll but Cesaro holds on to the ropes. Cesaro misses a boot to Truth and Truth hits Little Jimmy for the three count.

Winner: R Truth

Even though he lost the match, Cesaro can celebrate the fact that he is the United States Champion.
