WWE Monday Night Raw Results – February 27 2017

Welcome to Monday Night Raw from Green Bay Wisconsin! Tonight’s show features the returns of Goldberg and Seth Rollins, less than a week away from WWE Fastlane!

Seth Rollins appears on Raw for the first time since he was demolished, and legitimately injured, by Samoa Joe. Rollins will partake in a sit-down interview with Corey Graves and reveal his injury status ahead of WrestleMania in Orlando. Rumour has it that Rollins will not make it back in time to face either Triple H or Samoa Joe – thus marking the second year in a row that The Architect will miss out on WrestleMania. One can’t help but be reminded of Daniel Bryan and how his consistent injuries caused Vince McMahon and co. to stop relying on Bryan. Hopefully Seth will be back soon and WWE doesn’t lose faith in him.

Also returning to Raw tonight is the man who eats sparks, Goldberg! We’re less than a week away from Goldberg challenging Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship and the two have been trading barbs on Twitter, so what will Goldberg have to say tonight? Or has the time for words passed and KO will be the target of a Spear? We will find out very soon.

Elsewhere on tonight’s show, we should get some final build-up for Fastlane matches like Braun Strowman Vs. Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn Vs. Samoa Joe, Bayley Vs. Charlotte, Neville Vs. Jack Gallagher, and The Club Vs. Enzo & Big Cass. That’s a lot to get through. Every week Strowman has gotten the better of Roman Reigns, so maybe tonight Roman gets the better of the big man to gain some much-needed momentum. Speaking of which, Sami Zayn could definitely do with some momentum after Samoa Joe has pummelled him the last two weeks in a row.

One final note, Beth Phoenix was announced as the next inductee into the 2017 Hall of Fame! Beth Phoenix played a major role in WWE’s women’s division, filling the huge gap left by the retirements of Trish Stratus and Lita. The Glamazon kept the division exciting in her feuds with Mickie James, Natalya, and The Bella Twins. Phoenix spoke to Josh Barnett at For The Win on her induction: “When you are in WWE, you dream of that moment [in the future] when you get to reflect on your career and the things that you did and you get that wonderful individual honor. It seemed so far off in the distance for me [when I was wrestling]. I didn’t know when—or if—I’d ever experience that feeling. I certainly didn’t think I’d have that opportunity this early in my life. It’s amazing and very, very humbling.”
