Welcome to 205 Live, WWE’s weekly cruiserweight show! I think it’s fair to say that the cruiserweight division has been given new life in the past 48 hours, and that’s all due to one man: Neville.
Adrian Neville returned at Roadblock: End of the Line and proceeded to destroy Rich Swann and TJ Perkins. Last night on Raw Neville came out to explain his actions but was interrupted by Swann, then Brian Kendrick. After some dissing between the men, Swann attacked Neville, only to be beaten down. TJ Perkins came-a-running to make the save but he too was beaten down by The Man That Gravity Forgot. We’re witnessing a new, angry Neville, and it’s the best he’s looked since leaving NXT. Anyone who followed Neville down in NXT knows he’s capable of being one of, if not the, best guy in the entire WWE – he’s that damn good – however he’s been wasted on the main roster. Hopefully this turn of character will signal big things for the Englishman.
Elsewhere in the division, Noam Dar is butting heads with Cedric Alexander. Dar wants him a piece of Alicia Fox (Alexander’s girlfriend), and needless to say it’s causing some friction. The two have traded wins in past weeks, with Cedric practically obliterating Dar last night on Raw. As well as that, Jack Gallagher looks set to feud with Daivari, based on the tense interview they shared last week. It’s good to see storylines starting to develop in the cruiserweight division, which is the exact point of 205 Live. Let’s see where tonight’s show takes us!
