We’ve noted before how cameras will be rolling at Mick Foley’s November 3rd comedy show in New York City and the November 17th show on Long Island. Foley provided some clarification on his Facebook page and says the shows will be filmed be two separate crews for different reasons. He wrote:
“I just saw a story on Twitter – pointing out the fact that cameras will be rolling at two of my November shows: November 3rd in New York City, and November 17th on Long Island. This is true, but the shows will be filmed by two separate crews for different reasons.
My November 3rd show at The Stand in New York City is being filmed for my 2014 documentary “I Am Santa Claus”, with the goal of capturing one specific story on film. As of now, there are only 30 tickets left…so if you’d like to be part of the action, you might want to act now, and order at http://thestand.laughstub.com/show.cfm?id=277461&cart Unlike many of my shows, (I THINK) this one is open to anyone 16 and up
The November 17th show in Smithtown, New York will be filmed by WWE for a future project – possibly a telecast, Netflix offering, or DVD…maybe all three. This is obviously huge for me, and since the Smithtown Performing Arts Center is only a few miles from where I grew up, and is a theater I have been attending since childhood, it’s going to get some local attention, and I do expect the house to be full by the time the 17th rolls around. BUT, given the choice, I’d rather have a theater full of wrestling fans than a theater full of well meaning locals showing their support for one of their own. Although non-fans do enjoy my shows, I am primarily a wrestler, telling wrestling stories for wrestling fans. The material is roughly PG-13, and (I THINK) it is open to all ages. I am stepping up to the plate with the intention of hitting it out of the park, so you might want to be there for what just may be the most important non-wrestling event of my life. http://realmickfoley.com/events/”
